I’m starting a blog on fictional books. I’m going to publish a blog around once a week. If you want me to talk about a particular book go ahead and tell me in the comments section below.

In this, my very first blog, I’m going to talk about a five-part series called Percy Jackson written by Rick Riordan.

The series is about Greek gods and their children. The gods in the twenty first century are as  egotistic, fighting-mad and flirtatious as they were in the myths. Even today, they regularly fall in love with mortals and have children who are called demigods or half-bloods. Demigods have about 20% of their  godly parent’s powers.

Percy Jackson is the main character in the series. Other important characters are Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood. All of them train to be heroes at Camp Half-Blood, a camp for demigods run by Dionysus, the god of wine. Their activities director and teacher is Chiron, a centaur who does all he can to help the demigods prepare for quests which would help them defeat the evil forces.

Every book in the series has one quest, and all of them are linked to the last book of the series.

I will talk about each book in a different blog, so stay tuned!

Yours truly                                                                                                                                                 Annabeth
